The Guild appears at The Great Dickens Christmas Fair
While the majority of our performances concentrate on the world of the 16th century, from time to time we venture into other realms, such as Drama After Dark: A Night of the Macabre with Poe and Gorey at the Huntington Library in Southern California.
In the 2022 season of The Great Dickens Christmas Fair at the Cow Palace in Daly City, The Guild produced Charles Dickens Study at Tavistock House; an immersive environment where audience members may interact with members of Dickens’ family, his friends and colleagues, some creations from his books, and the famous author himself.
Mr. Dickens read his well-known novel “A Christmas Carol” in four parts to eager audiences each day, as well as other famous authors and public figures such as Edgar Allen Poe and Karl Marx.
Valhalla Renaissance Faire Cancelled
From the producer, Renaissance Productions:
"After speaking with Camp Richardson and the USFS, it is with great sadness that we have come to the very difficult decision; Valhalla Renaissance Faire will not be held in 2020. This pandemic is unlike any disaster we've experienced. With no clear end to CV19 and continuous sweeping guidelines to avoid large (and now even small) gatherings, we just cannot hold out hope that something will change before June.”
We look forward to an end to this crisis and look forward to entertaining our public again as soon as it is safe to do so.
